Cassidy Hutchinson Testifies Before January 6 Committee, Reveals New Details About Trump’s Actions on That Day

Cassidy Hutchinson, a former White House aide, testified before the House Select Committee investigating the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday. Hutchinson, who was an aide to former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, provided new details about Trump’s actions on that day.

Hutchinson testified that Trump was aware that his supporters were armed on January 6, but he wanted them to be allowed to march on the Capitol anyway. She also said that Trump tried to grab the steering wheel of the presidential limousine when he was told he could not go to the Capitol with his supporters.

Hutchinson’s testimony was the most damaging to Trump yet. It is likely to further increase pressure on the Justice Department to investigate Trump for possible criminal charges.
